Aaron K Flencher is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Citizens State Bank. He was born and raised in Somerville, Texas graduating from Somerville ISD and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Texas A&M University. His professional career consists of over 20 years of full-time service at Citizens State Bank. Prior to his full-time service, Aaron worked part-time for six years at Citizens State Bank while still in school.

Aaron’s hobbies include ranching, hunting, and fishing. Aaron has a passion and commitment to the community he serves. His volunteer roles in the community include: Board Member for the First Lutheran Church, Director of the Burleson County Wildlife Association, Area Chairman of the Lake Somerville Ducks Unlimited, Board Member of the Brazos Valley Affordable Housing Corporation, Board Member of the Navasota ISD Education Foundation, Member of the City of Somerville Parks Committee, & Coach for Little League and Little Dribblers.

Ben has a profound passion and commitment to CSB and its customers. Beginning his career and time at the bank in 1974, Ben has taken great pleasure in watching and assisting the bank grow its current footprint to the seven locations in the Brazos Valley. He takes great pride in helping customers experience many of their lifetime dreams while giving back to the local community he calls home. Ben is a life-long resident of Somerville, Texas. He graduated Somerville High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Texas A&M University. Ben is also a lifetime member of the First Lutheran Church of Somerville having served on the Council and as President of the Congregation. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Bluebonnet Electric, is Past Director of Independent Bankers of Texas, and Past President of Burleson County Economic Development Council. While not at the bank, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and wonderful family. He is also passionate about various outdoor hobbies including hunting, fishing and supporting his grandchildren in sports.

Blake Schwarze

Born and raised in Brenham, and a being CSB Loan Officer in our Brenham location, Blake's approach and understanding with his customers is key to helping local businesses and individuals thrive. He's grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that he loves so much. Blake graduated from Brenham High School and further earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Sam Houston State University. When not working as a banker, Blake likes to watch sports and help with coaching a select baseball team.

Charles Seely

Charles Seely is a lender at our Brenham location, and has worked for Citizens State Bank since 2019. Charles believes that the opportunity to be of service to CSB customers and the community as a whole, makes each day extremely rewarding. He believes in the value of customer service and working with clientele to help achieve their financial goals, regardless of the loan type or size. According to Seely, “What sets CSB apart from other institutions is that to us, you are more than just a number. You are a valuable member of our community and we would like to earn and retain your business. To put it simply, we want CSB to be your bank.”

Charles is a graduate of Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX with a B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Agriculture. Outside of work, Charles enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid youth livestock project supporter, and mentors 4-H and FFA livestock project exhibitors within the community.

Dennis Griffin

Dennis Griffin is a Somerville native who likes helping customers achieve their financial goals.  As a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer, he especially enjoys helping customers purchase homes and property, automobiles, or open a business.  His ability to make customers feel at ease is a trait all bankers strive to achieve.

After high school he worked his way through Blinn College and Sam Houston State University attaining a Business Degree.  True to his roots, Dennis was excited to return home and join Citizens State Bank.  He is also a graduate of the nationally-recognized Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU, and has performed most of the duties at CSB.  Dennis genuinely understands how the bank helps its customers succeed.

Dennis Griffin is also actively involved with preparing our community for the future.  Most notably, he served terms as President of the Somerville ISD Board of Trustees, as Chairman of the Appraisal District Board of Directors, and as a member of the city’s Board of Equalization and Appeals.  He is an active Rotarian and Board Member with Somerville Area Assistance Ministries.

Cody Novasod

Cody was born and raised in Caldwell and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1998.  In 2002 he received a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Business from Texas A&M University.  While going to school Cody helped manage his family ranch and also worked part time at Citizens State Bank. Cody realized early on that he and the bank he worked for shared a lot of the same goals and values. Having the ability to work with and help the people he has known his whole life brings him a lot of joy and satisfaction. 

Cody is married to his wife Tammy and they have four children together. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his children’s many sports activities, ranching, hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors.  Cody is a member of Elizabeth Lutheran Church and serves as their Treasurer.  Cody has been a part of various boards and organizations over the years that benefit the people of Burleson County.  What Cody values most is his faith, his family, and his friendships.

Cory was born and raised in Somerville, Texas and graduated from Somerville ISD. Cory also earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University. His professional career consists of more than 20 years of service in various roles at Citizens State Bank. His current position is Executive Vice President with the focus on commercial lending in the Brenham branch. He is passionate about his work as a community banker and the impact he has on the lives he touches through that role.

Cory married his wife Cristi in 2005 and they have two children. He is an active member of the First Lutheran Church where he has served as a Board Member there. In addition, he serves many other volunteer roles in the community including Board Member for the Volunteer Services Council of the Brenham State Supported Living Center and Secretary/Treasurer of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas Leadership Division. He also serves as a Commissioner for the Brenham Housing Authority and recently retired from the board of the Brenham Economic Development Foundation. In his spare time Cory enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling with his family. 

Rena Cunningham

She has been with Citizens State Bank for 27 years in various positions and is currently serving peoples needs as a Loan Officer in our Somerville office. Rena loves working and assisting customers at CSB because she believes in the company's mission of home-town quality customer service.

Eddie Bosse is Vice President & Navasota Branch President. Born and raised in Navasota, Eddie graduated from Navasota High School and attended Texas A&M University. Eddie earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 1999. His professional career consists of 20 years full-time work in the financial industry beginning with Comerica Bank as a Credit Analyst in Houston, Texas.  Eddie had the opportunity to move back to his hometown in 2004 and then began to work for The Bank of Navasota as a Loan Officer.  In 2007, he began his employment with Citizens State Bank at their Navasota branch.

Eddie has three sons, and enjoys spending time with them in the outdoors whether it is attending their sporting events or hunting and fishing.  He is a current member of Friedens Church of Washington UCC, while being an active member in the community.  His volunteer roles include the Treasurer for the Navasota Evening Lions Club, Treasurer for the Navasota Chapter of Texas Ducks Unlimited and a Board Member for the Navasota Christian Community Services. 

John Smith

John Smith began his banking relationship with Citizens State Bank by opening a checking account in 1985 as a Caldwell High School sophomore.  This relationship grew more personal in 2001 when John began his employment with Citizens State Bank in the Somerville office, where he became a lending officer.  As a lending officer in a community bank, John’s lending expertise covers the gamut from commercial lending and real estate development to agriculture and consumer lending.  John’s greatest joy is working with customers to achieve their personal dreams through relationship lending.  John is currently working in the Caldwell branch. John and his wife, Casey, are both very active in the community and with church activities, along with their children’s sports, school and 4H activities. John and Casey reside on their family farm in the Deanville community with their children Kate, Rowdy and Natalie.

Justin Lewis

Justin has been committed to CSB since 1996. He graduated Somerville High School in 1989, Blinn Jr. College in 1991, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 1993. He overheard one of his kid's describe to a group of friends one time that "My Daddy helps people" when they were asked what he did at the bank. That has left a lasting impression with Justin over the years and it is his greatest passion – to help people with their financial lives to the best of his abilities.

Justin is a member of Snook Brethren Church and he also assists with many of the hard-working community organizations and groups within Snook and Burleson County. Justin is married to his wife Loree, they have three children and one blessed grandchild. His hobbies over the years included coaching and watching his kids in sports, working with 4H projects, and ranching. Now, Justin’s main hobby is being a grandpa with a commitment and passion for family, friends, and the community he serves.

Justin, a lifelong Texan, was raised in Navasota and attended school there through 7th grade at which time he moved to Waller, and graduated from Waller High School in 2011. After high school, he attended Prairie View A&M University and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Accounting. He now makes his home in Waller and is committed to the CSB team, Navasota and the greater area.  

Justin attends St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Hempstead and Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota with his family. He enjoys spending time with his family and trying different restaurants. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. Justin is committed to assisting customers with all their financial needs and helping them build their futures!

Paul Weiss

Paul is a Loan Officer in our Brenham location and has been lending for over five years now.  He was born and raised in Brenham, Texas.  He graduated from Brenham High School in 1987, attended Blinn Junior College and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1991. Paul enjoys working with customers to ensure they meet their financial goals. He and his family are active members of Salem Lutheran Church. Paul’s volunteer roles in the community have included: Committee and Board Member as well as being a Sunday School teacher in Salem Lutheran Church, President of the Washington County Thrivent Chapter Board, Gun & Rod Board Member, Washington County Church League Volleyball President, Washington County Church League Softball Board Member, along with being the Manager and a Coach for Washington County Little League, Little Dribblers and Washington County Youth Soccer League. Paul’s hobbies include hunting, fishing and sports. 

Marianne Shiflett

Marianne was born and raised in Navasota, where she graduated from Navasota High School.  Marianne also received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Marketing from Texas A&M University. After several years of being away from Navasota, she and her family decided it would be the best place to settle as her children started school. Marianne has been a part of the CSB team for almost 10 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our lending area with her past experience as a loan processor and originator. She is passionate about working in her hometown and assisting members in the community who are searching for the best bank to call home.

Marianne attends Christ Our Light Catholic Church, where she volunteers with various activities. She is also a member of the Navasota ISD Education Foundation. Marianne loves to spend time with her grandchildren as often as she can, she enjoys gardening and relaxing at the beach. 

Matt Stolz

Matthew Stolz is the Branch President at our Burton location. He enjoys the variety of different customers he gets to work with, either helping them with daily financial needs or seeing them reach their long-term goals. Matthew earned his Associates Degree from Blinn College. He then went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and Masters’ degree in Ag Business from Texas Tech University before starting his career in banking in 2010. Matthew serves on the board of Farmers Mutual Aid Association of Washington County. He is married to wife Jill, and has one daughter Steelie. Matthew enjoys spending time with his family and raising Brangus cattle in his free time.

Michael Bentke

Michael has a passion for his job as it enables him to help others with their financial needs. CSB strives every day to take care of the customers and the communities it serves. Giving back to the communities that have given us so much has helped our organization grow. Michael believes CSB truly is a place where local people make local decisions for the benefit of our customers, communities and employees. Michael is a strong community advocate as is evident from his involvement in numerous organizations, including the Washington County Fair and Zion Lutheran Church. Michael is married with two sons, and when not working as a banker he enjoys spending time with his family and working on his Brahman cattle operation. Michael earned his Bachelor’s Degree and Masters Degree in Agricultural from Texas A&M University.

Tim Tietjen

Tim is a long-time and committed member of the Brazos Valley. Born in Houston, Texas he attended primary school in HISD until the mid-1960's. His family moved back home to Caldwell where Tim attended Deanville School for one year before transferring and graduating from Caldwell High School. Tim furthered his studies at Blinn Junior College in Brenham and then earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University. Tim began his banking career in 1980, serving many Central Texas communities including Caldwell. He also spent some years working in farming and ranching operations in the Brazos Bottom. Tim began his time with CSB after the bank acquired it’s Deanville location. He has an immense passion for both the bank and the community in which he serves. Tim is a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas and when he is not at the bank, he manages a cow/calf operation and raises Quarter horses.

Randy See

Randy is passionate about being able to help others with their financial and banking needs. He is especially grateful to have the opportunity to do that in his hometown. Randy graduated from Snook High School in 1995 and went on to further his education at Texas A&M University, where he graduated from Mays Business School in 1999. Randy earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. Randy’s commitment and involvement in the community is extensive. He is a Youth Director at Snook Brethren Church along with his wife and an Adult Leader for the Burleson County 4-H Exchange Program.

Randy has a deep love for his family, that includes his wife Jonna, and his two sons. Spending quality time with family is at the top of the list of his favorite things to do. Randy’s hobbies include, attending Snook High School sporting events, watching college sports, and keeping up with anything and everything sports related. He also enjoys hunting whitetail deer, fishing on the Brazos River, feeding cattle, and spending time outdoors in general.

Deborah Hildebrand

Deborah graduated from Bryan High School in 1976 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 1980. While working part-time at a bank in College Station during her college years, Deborah realized how much she enjoyed working with the public and serving the community.  Deborah has since remained in the financial industry, gaining over 40 years of banking experience. For more than 30 of those years, Deborah has committed it to CSB in various roles.  

Deborah is passionate about the community. She attends The Well Community Church in Caldwell where she serves on the Board of Directors.  She is also a member of the Caldwell Burleson County Lions Club. When not at the bank, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family.  

Ryan McCabe

Ryan McCabe joined the CSB team in early 2021 to expand the residential mortgage lending program. After obtaining a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, he began originating mortgages for a large retail bank and then spent several years working as a loan originator for a mortgage broker. Over the last decade, Ryan also gathered experience in a management capacity overseeing various finance and operations functions for both small and large organizations. This keen business acumen acquired throughout his career has equipped him with the expertise necessary to successfully navigate the complexities of the modern lending environment.



Linda Blacklock

Linda recently joined the CSB family as part of our acquisition of Burton State Bank and brings more than 41 years of banking experience to CSB.  She currently serves as Branch Manager of our Burton location. A graduate of Burton High School, Linda worked at Brenham National Bank for 15 years prior to making the move to Burton State Bank where she would work with her father, Brian Fischer, who served as President at the time.  She eventually followed in her father’s footsteps and was President of the bank at the time of the acquisition.

Linda enjoys working with customers in every aspect of banking, from the teller line to helping with the purchase of their dream homes. Linda has a strong commitment to providing the highest level of customer service possible.

She is an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. In addition to spoiling two grandchildren who refer to them as “LuLu and Pop”, she and her husband, Monty, enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. 

Maggie Rico

Maggie is all about service and helping members of the community.  From her time in the Marine Corps to working at a bank, Maggie has always said “Helping people is what I love to do.” After working in big banks, including the biggest bank in the country, and being frustrated by the things she could not do to help her clients, she made the move to a real home-town bank. She loves that Citizens State Bank trusts her to make decisions that affect the area where she lives by providing loans to help people make their dreams come true; whether buying a house, growing their business, increasing their investment portfolio, buying a car or whatever that financial need might be.

    Originally from West Texas, Maggie has made her home in Navasota 30 plus years.  She raised her two children in Navasota where they attended school and Maggie has been involved in different organizations over the years she has been here.  When her kids were small, she was a long-time school volunteer, member of the PTO, Room Mother and up until this year has been a Special Olympics volunteer in support of her very special daughter. Along the way, Maggie got a Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in 2008.  As a volunteer, she has served on the Library Board, was Team Captain on a Relay 4 Life team, and was voted Employee of the Year by the Grimes County Chamber of Commerce in 2016.
